We develop and deploy advanced autonomous AI systems that monitor, evaluate and observe agents during development and in production. The Impact:
You are part of a team that is responsible for some of the most critical components of our AI centric tech stack. You define and deploy key parts of our global platform that evaluates cutting edge customer AI systems at scale. You will contribute to technical decisions and help push the boundaries of what’s possible with state of the art AI tech.

The Role
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to design and build high-performance backend systems that support AI-driven workflows and large-scale data processing. You’ll work on distributed services, APIs, and core infrastructure powering mission-critical products.
This role requires strong backend fundamentals, production-grade Python experience, and the ability to own features end-to-end.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Python

• Architect APIs and microservices with clean, maintainable abstractions

• Work with large datasets and asynchronous processing pipelines

• Optimize performance, reliability, and observability

• Contribute to system design discussions

• Own features end-to-end and collaborate across teams

• Write production-quality, testable, secure code

• Participate in code reviews and uphold a high engineering bar

What We’re Looking For

Core Requirements

• 3–7 years of backend engineering experience

• Strong production experience in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar)

• Experience designing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures

• Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization

• Experience with async processing, queues (SQS, Kafka), or event-driven systems

• Good understanding of system design, scalability, and performance

Bonus points:

• Experience working with coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar) is a strong plus

• Experience deploying and operating services on AWS (or another major cloud provider) is a strong plus

• Experience building or integrating AI agent systems (LLM workflows, orchestration frameworks, or evaluation pipelines) is a plus
