Position Summary


We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Enterprise Systems & Integration to lead our strategy, implementation, and optimization of core manufacturing, finance, and enterprise platforms. This executive will oversee system integration at the MES level, ensure seamless connectivity with ERP/MRP and financial systems, and drive the development of a business intelligence ecosystem that empowers decision-making across operations and finance.

The VP will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, reporting consistency, and systems scalability across the organization. This includes building robust connections between manufacturing, supply chain, and finance functions (FP&A, costing, and compliance).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the enterprise systems strategy, aligning ERP, MES, financial systems, and BI platforms with corporate goals.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations leadership to ensure financial data integrity, timely reporting, and support for audits/compliance.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for digital transformation initiatives that span operations and finance.

Systems Integration & Management

  • Lead integration of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with ERP/MRP and financial modules to deliver real-time insights into production, inventory, and cost performance.
  • Oversee ERP/MRP and financial systems strategy, including upgrades, vendor management, and alignment with GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Drive automation and integration between finance (AP/AR, GL, costing, forecasting) and operational systems.
  • Ensure governance standards for master data management, chart of accounts consistency, and system controls.

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Build enterprise-wide dashboards that unify financial and operational KPIs (revenue, COGS, contribution margin, production cost per unit, forecast accuracy, etc.).
  • Develop predictive analytics capabilities to support financial planning, demand forecasting, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Implement processes to ensure data integrity, compliance, and audit readiness.

Finance & Performance Management

  • Partner with the CFO and FP&A team to provide timely, accurate, and actionable financial reporting.
  • Enhance cost accounting visibility through ERP/MES integration, improving standard cost models, variance analysis, and contribution margin tracking.
  • Support scenario modeling, budgeting, and forecasting through BI-driven insights.
  • Ensure system compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, government contracting (if applicable), and financial reporting standards.

Team & Organizational Leadership

  • Build and lead a team of system architects, finance systems analysts, integration engineers, and BI developers.
  • Drive change management and adoption across both operations and finance functions.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations) and external technology vendors.

Required Qualifications


  • 10-15+ years of experience leading enterprise systems, ERP/MRP, MES, and finance/BI integration in a manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of ERP financial modules (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent) including GL, AP/AR, costing, and FP&A.
  • Experience driving financial visibility in manufacturing: standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and contribution margin.
  • Strong knowledge of BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) with proven ability to unify operational and financial data.
  • Track record of managing large-scale ERP/MES integrations and finance system transformations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Additional Desired Qualifications


  • Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, or medical devices) highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting government contracts (FAR/DFARS, DCMA, DCAA, ITAR compliance) if applicable
  • Executive-level communication and ability to influence CFO, COO, and CIO stakeholders
  • Experience with data architecture, master data governance, and ETL/integration tools.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions


  • Flexibility to travel between company sites, vendor locations, and customer facilities (domestic and international) as business needs require.
  • Ability to work in a professional office environment with extended periods of computer use.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time during meetings, presentations, and site visits.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, such as carrying laptops, presentation materials, or documents.
