Maxar is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Facilities Project Coordinator to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. In this role you will work closely with the Maxar Facilities Team and our Contractors to document, plan, and execute maintenance and installation projects, with a primary focus on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. The selected candidate will collaborate with vendors to identify the most cost-effective and timely solutions to keep our facility systems operational and our facilities clean room areas in specification.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing equipment.
- Develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
- Maintain the company HVAC Maintenance Database.
- Monitor Facilities projects from initiation through delivery including work scope, schedules, and budget/spending.
- Organize cross-functional activities as necessary to ensure completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Obtain and prepare project bids, and act as the point of contact between buyers, contractors, and management.
- Prioritize requests to ensure deadlines are met and user requests are handled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Use company vehicle to perform campus-wide site reviews to ensure vendor performance.
- Act as company representative as required to support facility equipment installation or emergency services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
- Valid CADL and clean DMV record – ability to drive company vehicle
- 3 years of project management/project coordination or related experience
Preferred Requirements:
- HVAC, Building Maintenance, or Facilities experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) Skills.
- PMP Certification.
- Bachelors Degree in program or project management.
- Project Administration with a focus on organization, record keeping, and scheduling.
